L.A.M.B. on Gilt

One of my favorite curiously-spelled online sample sale sites is featuring handbags and shoes by a label helmed by one of my favorite, curiously-dressed fashion mamas. Translation: Gilt has L.A.M.B.! I tend to take an especially discerning eye with celebrity-driven clothing lines but I’ve also been a Gwenabee since middle school so anything the Lady Stefani has creative input in, I will financially output for. L.A.M.B. has always kind of stood out to me because of the quality of the items - they feel (literally) much more upscale fashion house than potential cast-off at the local ROSS. I love ROSS, by the way.  Basically, you get what you pay for and it shows.

Hit up Gilt for L.A.M.B. bags and shoes like these leopard print Nikko platform pumps. No one paid me to write this. Kthxbai!

Pumped Up

I’m a little apprehensive about anything T-strap (or any shoes with straps in general) because of the cankle factor. Strap the wrong pair on and, magically, your ankles disappear. Or maybe it’s just me because I’m not that tall, despite what people see on TV. The first reaction I usually get from people when they meet me IRL is, “Wow, you’re a lot shorter than I thought.”

These nude and black pumps, worn by Leighton Meester on the “Gossip Girl” set, are pretty chic, though and perhaps worth braving T-straps and cankles for. via

I’m super into the feather thing but don’t think it exactly prudent that I start bonding the stuff to my hair. At least not now. I’ve found it kind of tough to find the embellished and oversized feather earring (singular). Luckily, I nabbed this one for around $10 at a booth at the Fairfax Flea Market, one of my favorite lazy Sunday destinations - the booth owner handmakes these so it’s a little extra special. I wore it to The Voice finale this past week with a Vivienne by Vivienne Tam urban jungle zip-up vest and gray Guess pumps. View high resolution
